Soccer Supplies
Soccer supplies are actually fairly simple to acquire. On a personal level you’ll need a jersey, shorts, cleats, and shin guards. Competitive play requires that you cover your shin guards with socks, but to practice the high socks aren’t strictly necessary. That’s pretty much all it takes to equip yourself; no pads, no elaborate uniform requirements.
On a more general level, there are other soccer supplies that the game requires. A ball tops that list. You can do endurance and footwork drills all day, but until you have a ball they’re only loosely related to the game of soccer. On the flip side, there are 22 players in the game and one ball; the average player will spend more of a game off the ball than on it.
Even more basic than the ball are the field and goals. This is where the game is played, and while some wouldn’t classify a field and goals as soccer supplies; those people would be hard pressed to play a game of soccer without them. In poorer areas of the world it is common for the field to be nothing more than a dirt lot. The goals are marked by a stone to either side. In competition play the goals are large and backed by nets, the field is grass with painted areas marking the center circle, as well as each goal box.
